iClicker is a student engagement system that uses active learning techniques to increase classroom engagement. It provides low-stakes, low-stress interaction between students and the content, providing instructors with in-the-moment learning data. This resource explains how to add your course to iClicker. 


Creating a Course

  1. First, you must log in to iClicker at instructor.iclicker.com.
    1. Note: You must create an instructor account before you can create a new course.
  2. From the Courses homepage, click the “Create new course”  button.
  3. Choose a “Course type” by selecting “Full course” or “Attendance only.”
  4. Under “Course information,” select “Arizona State University” from the “Institution” dropdown, and fill in the fields for “Course discipline,” “Course name,” “Start Date,” and “End date.”
  5. Select the “Enrollment” option so students can join the course. Select one of the following:
    1. Students can search for and self-enroll in this course.
    2. Students must be invited to this course.
  6. It may be helpful to fill in the optional fields on this page: “Course ID,” “Term,” and “Meeting times.”
  7. Click “Create” in the upper right corner to add this course to your Active Courses.
